Little Scouts at Folsom Street Fair - San Francisco

Going to the Folsom Street Fair? Why not pop by the Little Scouts booth and enjoy some crafts and games? Come meet the Little Scouts SF Troop 69 and see what we are up to this year! Look for the green booth and the littles dressed in sashes.

This year, we will be making giant bubbles using j-lube and creating fun chalk art at our booth! There will also be a play area where you can come chill out with toys and crayons while meeting other ageplayers. Come to our Little Scouts info area for fliers on upcoming littles events and information on the Little Scouts Troop 69. We might even have juice boxes and prizes! Feel free to bring your binkies or dress up in a onesie if the mood strikes you! Just keep in mind that this is a public and outdoor event. 

If you would like to volunteer with us, we would love the help! By volunteering at the booth for only 2 hours, you can earn our "Volunteer Badge" for your sash. It's often a first badge that troop members earn. Just email us at thelittlescouts@gmail.com to sign up for a shift!

Mini-Golf Meetup at Urban Putt

This month's outing for the Little Scouts SF is to a cool indoor mini-golf course called "Urban Putt"! Located in San Francisco, Urban Putt is a cutesy and hip place to practice your swing in style! This month's event is hosted by Microwatt!(www.fetlife.com) Come meet other ageplayers and learn more about Little Scouts while having a good time. You don't have to be a member of the Little Scouts to attend, all are invited.

If you are interested in earning the "Sports Badge," all you have to do is either try 3 different sports, or practice some sort of sport for a total of 3 hours (doesn't have to be continuous). 4th of July Beer Bust at SF Eagle

This 4th of July still got no plans? Come to the SF Eagle for the Little Scouts Beer Bust! We are raising funds to help support our trip to LittleSpace Disneyland! We will be serving hotdogs with cheese and chili, unlimited beer, and delicious pot de creme for desert, kindly donated by Snowflake Treats!  There will also be a bootblack available to keep your leathers looking fabulous!

The SF Eagle is an LGBT leather bar in San Francisco. It's a wonderful space with a big patio and friendly staff. Please keep in mind that this event is only 21+ since it is at a bar. More info below!

Little Scouts Booth at San Francisco Pride

Come celebrate diversity this Sunday, June 25th at the most awesome Pride Parade around! The Little Scouts will be there doing face painting at their booth in Leather Alley. This is also the Little Scouts' 3rd year anniversary! It's been amazing to watch as troops have popped up all over America, and how our group has grown. So come visit, we are doing face painting, selling snacks, and there will be a play area with fun toys! Come check us out and see what the Little Scouts has planned this year!

Little Scouts "Violent-Times" Party

The Little Scouts is hosting our annual post-Valentine's party: Violent-Times! If you are interested in or curious about ageplay, ABDL, petplay, or the Little Scouts in general, this party is for YOU! This year will be a return of "Diaper Fight Club", where you can wrestle against other littles for the Ultimate Title of Wrestle Baby Champion! Wrestling not your style? We will also be holding an Arm-Wrestling Contest, and for petplayers and their handlers, a Pokemon Battle! There will be Trophies!!! Official rules and signed liability waivers will be available at the event. All are welcome to sit in the audience and watch the showdown, cheering for your favorite contestant!

For those littles who are too frightened by phony fighting, there will be a coloring and Valentine's card-making station in the social area. Tasty treats of all kinds will also be available. If you are feeling especially generous, the Little Scouts greatly appreciates those willing to bring snacks and art supplies to share!

The Violent-Times Party also will have:

- Open play area for Littles with toys and games (bring your favorite stuffies and toys!)
- Diaper-changing station in The Citadel's gender neutral restroom (bring your own diapers!)
- Pet-play area for kitties, puppies, and all creatures great and small
- Raffle to help support the Little Scouts in global domination!

Little Scouts Halloween Spooktacular

The Little Scouts' Halloween Spooktacular is one of the biggest littles events of the year and it's coming up this October 29th! Join us at Hellfire, a new dungeon space in the North Beach neighborhood that just opened up. This year is sure to be a lot of fun, we are going to have lots of activities including:

- Cookie Decorating

- Haunted House

- Arts and Crafts

- Diaper Changing Station (Bring your own diapers!)

Folsom Street Fair 2016

Our booth at Folsom Street Fair this year was a huge success! Thank you to all of the hardworking volunteers who put in their free time for Little Scouts, we couldn't do it without you! And thank you so much to everyone who came out and spent part of their Folsom day with us, all the littles and bigs who came out to play games and do chalk art really made this Folsom extra fun and special! Thank you to everyone who donated, this year we made our goal of $200!

Our next party is going to be a Halloween party in San Francisco, with games, candy, and a costume contest! It is a fun opportunity to meet other littles and make new friends! San Francisco Pride Parade 2016: Leather Alley and Little Scouts

Hello Scouts and thank you to everyone who came to help us plan our presence at Leather Alley during the 2016 San Francisco Pride Parade!

We were able to come up with a to-do list for our officers in preparation. We're going to have a lot to do as our booth has grown exponentially this year. That means that we need volunteers! Volunteers are needed to:

• Help with set up Help with clean up
• Speak to the public about ageplay, hand out materials, sell merchandise, and answer questions
• Do face painting for donations 

Our presence in Leather Alley has several goals this year:
1. To raise funds for future events and to help cover the costs of our presence in Leather Alley itself.
2. To educate people about ageplay and help them to be involved with the local ageplay community and Little Scouts.
3. To demonstrate to Leather Alliance what we're capable of!

 How are we going to accomplish these goals? In order to raise funds, we'll have several fun activities for people to do.

• Face painting 
• Selling temporary tattoos 
• Selling Little Scouts uniforms (berets, pins, and sashes) 
• Allowing people to ride or pose with Horatio, the wooden horse 

In order to educate people about ageplay and help them be involved with Little Scouts, we'll have materials to pass out.

• The Age Play and Diaper Fetish Handbook 
• Pride Parade Etiquette pamphlets 
• Little Scouts Flyers We'll also be soliciting email addresses in exchange for a list of ageplay resources. 

This is where you come in! Please email your favorite ageplay links to thelittlescouts@gmail.com. In addition, we've decided to, as a group, make our own "Ask First" panties/diaper covers/whatever you wear on your butt. We just thought it was a cute, flirty idea. You don't have to do this in order to be involved, but it is a group project that you might want to participate in!

Lastly, we're going to be performing some demos. I (Penny) will be doing a diapering demo, Zoey will be doing a spanking demo, and Jesbian will be doing her cupcake demo. While we're not sure of the order yet, demos will be happening at noon, 1:30, and 3:00. A lot of people asked about demos last year, so if you're volunteering, please memorize these times!

 As for showing Leather Alliance what we're capable of, just show up, be prepared, and be your friendly self! We suggest coming in uniform or at least ageplay attire. We're going to make an effort to wear boots in order to support the bootblacks. If you're able to volunteer, we'll need people from about 10:00 to 7:00 on Sunday, June 26. Having an entire year of events to look forward to will help us with budgeting, planning, and help to avoid volunteer burnout. Don't see an event on here, like our zoo or ice skating outings? Little Scouts at International Miss Leather

The Little Scouts has been generously offered use of a hospitality suite at IMsL/IMsBB Weekend 2016 in order to offer information about Little Scouts to those who are interested in joining, or for those who just want to see what we are up to this year. We are taking this opportunity to make the hospitality suite into the most magical place on Earth! That's right, the theme is Disneyland!

We will have delicious Disney-themed snacks like dole whips and non-alcoholic mint julips, midway games, and crafts like decorating your own Mickey ears. Brush up on your Disney knowledge, because we will also be doing a trivia contest with prizes. We'll even have a mini Main Street Electrical Parade! We are raising funds for future events, and you can just donate, or you can get spanked by a Disney princess!

International Miss Leather Weekend is a fun-filled weekend event for the International Miss Leather and International Miss Bootblack contests held in San Jose. For more information, check out their site: imsl.org/ There is no onsite registration, so make sure to register in advance online, and day passes are now available. 

Pet Play Class for Littles

This coming Friday, January 22nd, we are having a very exciting new class at Wicked Grounds in San Francisco. It's a pet play class with a special focus on how littles can best take care of pets of all kinds! (We do mean the human kind!) Pet play and ageplay can go together great, because what could be more adorable than a little petting a playful kitten or taking a pup on a walk? This class intends to give students ideas on how these two types of play can come together.

Friday's class is taught by Azalea, who kindly offered to teach this subject to the Little Scouts. Azalea is an animal role play enthusiast, human pet trainer, owner trainer, and sex educator who has taught several classes before. She is also bringing several pets for a demonstration! For Little Scouts or those interested in joining the Little Scouts, this is the first step in earning your "Pet Play" badge. However, you do not have to be a Little Scouts member to attend the class, anyone is invited!

The Little Scouts Pride Flag

Jesbian, International Little Miss Little 2014 and Co-Vice President of The Little Scouts SF, has designed a wonderful flag to represent the Little Scouts and wrote this article discussing the meaning of that flag in identifying our community:

As a leather little I slowly progressed in the leather community as a "girl" and I earned my first hanky, hunter green, for my service to the women’s community by being a house service submissive for a full year. It was announcing I’m a “service leather little”. Soon I began to also flag mint along with hunter because my service was being given to multiple Bigs, including my community. I wasn’t flagging for “Mommy” or “Daddy” but instead the colors represented my little identity. I realized that my greatest happiness came from being that good little helper!

However, in the community around me I was noticing a big trend among littles. Discussion group after discussion group, at munches and meet-ups, it seemed like all I would see were littles in search of a Mommy or Daddy. I often saw littles expressing hurt feelings that they were missing pieces without that type of Big relationship to “complete” them. THere was a lack of a cohesive littles community and places where littles could learn from each other and find a place of belonging.

Then I met two littles, Carolyn and Zoey, who had banded together to make littles important not only for each other but to the larger community. They created a place where BIgs, Middles, and Littles of all lypes could come together for a stronger community and form their own chosen families. They broke the mold of old worn out stereotypes in age play and instead, created a place to learn together and build support. They did this by creating a group called Little Scouts!

Little Scouts is a place for all sorts of chosen families, including Bigs, Middles, Littles, or anything in between! The community is a place to share, learn, and grow together.
Most of all it has become a place for us to show that our community is capable of doing more! OUr little hearts are full of unconditional love for serving others as little
helpers and building bridges as part of the leather and age play communities. In doing so, not only did we form safe spaces and volunteer opportunities for age players, we produced real change toward changing perceptions of littles and reducing stigma around age play.

In creating the Little Scout’s flag, I chose to show our pride in being Big little helpers and service leather littles by going back to my roots as a leather little girl. The flag contains two hunter and two mint green stripes to represent all sides of Age Play. Whether that be with the Big, Middle, or Little in the dominant role or submissive role. It transcends the notion of how those identities can be portrayed. Still leaving space for the traditional DD/lg or Mommy/boy but also for people to define their own chosen families, be that Gardener to their little flower, Little to their pet, brother to sister, or handler to a mermaid! It’s all about the symbiotic relationships of our age play identities that nurture and feed you, whatever that may be. The white stripe is for purity in those open, honest and understanding relationships and the red heart is for the love of our true selves, love for our family and friends as well as love for the leather and age play communities.

This flag is meant to be a conversation starter about Big, Middle, and Little identities. It is about the pride of our chosen families, and how we can support and come together as one. Our flag shows how age players have the heart and pride of the leather community in them, filled with unconditional love. We promote service, care, education, and show kindness to create a better path for others to follow in.

The Littles/Pet Play Valentine's Party

New Badges to Earn on Your Own!

We are coming out with a wonderful new idea for Little Scouts. Since some littles can't make it to every event, and also to promote community, there will be a series of badges that can be earned at your own pace. These are called skill badges. We will still have event badges available at the Little Scouts meetups once a month. Below is the list of badges we have so far along with how to earn each one.

For a scout to prove they earned a skill badge, they must submit an email to thelittlescouts@gmail.com that includes what badge they are trying to earn, along with a paragraph or two about what they did to earn that badge. If the scout has a signed permission slip from his/her big or pictures of the activity, these can also be included. A few hard-working scouts will be chosen every month as the "Star Scouts" and will be featured in that month's newsletter, with their permission, of course. Below are the first 10 skill badges available, and more will come out every month!

1. Educator Badge - Got a skill or an idea for a class? Put together a class or discussion to teach other ageplayers. It doesn't have to be about ageplay, it can be anything from crafts to rope tying!

2. Mentor a Newbie badge - Being the new one in a group can be a bit scary, especially for some littles. Help someone new to ageplay by inviting them to an event and being a supportive friend who can answer questions and make them feel welcome.

3. Volunteer badge - There are many ways to volunteer in the kink community and lots of events and groups that need help! This badge can be earned multiple times with different groups, such as Citadel Volunteer, Alchemy Volunteer, Pride Parade Volunteer, ect. This badge cannot be earned by doing a volunteer shift to get in free to an event.

4. Rope Tying badge - Learn how to tie rope by going to a bondage class, learning from a friend, or practicing knots on your own! Must dedicate at least one hour to learning about rope tying.

5. Boot-blacking badge - Learn about the art of boot-blacking by taking a class or learning from a friend and practice boot-blacking at least one time. Must dedicate at least one hour to learning about boot-blacking.

6. Cooking badge - Try your hand at making something delicious in the kitchen. Bake a small treat or cook a whole meal, but remember to have adult supervision when using the stove! Must dedicate at least one hour to learning about cooking.

7. Crafting badge - Get creative by making something that you've never made before. This can be anything from origami to painting to making your own stuffed animal! Use your imagination to earn this badge. Must dedicate at least one hour to crafting.

8. Dungeon Monitor Training - Get your training to become a dungeon monitor at events. There is always a need for good dungeon monitors, and it helps everyone have a good and safe time!

9. First aide Training - Take a first aide training course! They are offered in many places, and there are also kink first aide classes taught regularly. Please provide your first aide training certificate as proof to earn this badge.

10. Community Helper - Are you a regular helper in your kink community? Do you get involved in putting together events, setting up for parties, or leading discussions? What are you doing to make a difference? Tell your story to earn this badge!
